Restorative is style of yoga that encourages physical, mental and emotional relaxation. This class is practiced at a slow pace focusing on long holds, stillness and deep breathing all while being supported by props. This class encourages the student to tap into the parasympathetic system allowing the body to rest, restore and relax.
What to wear: Comfortable clothing with layers (may get chilly), socks (to keep the toes warm), maybe a washcloth or any cloth to place over the eyes, and anything else that will allow you to be comfortable.
What to bring: Your personal mat, blocks and straps if you have them. Yoga Life with Amy will provide the bolsters and blankets and will extra blocks and straps if you do not own your own. If you would prefer your own blanket, please feel free to bring your own.
